July 2, 1968 — March 14, 2007

YVONNE PIXLER, 38. A loving mother, sister, wife, and daughter. Passed away on Wednesday, March 14, 2007 after a long battle with Inflammatory Breast Cancer for the past five years. Yvonne was a life long resident of El Paso. A graduate of Bowie High School Class of 86’ where she was a flag girl, Yvonne and her sister were well known as “Las Cuatas”. A graduate of Community College, she was also a member of Phi Theta Kappa and a member of Who’s Who. In 1992, Yvonne married Michael, a member of the U.S. Army and moved to Kansas and came back to El Paso where she was employed with the City of El Paso in the capacities of Library, Personnel Community, and Human Development and was still presently employed by Sun Metro. Yvonne was a loving mother to her daughter Brittany, who was her pride and joy. She will always be remembered for her positive attitude and smile. She is survived by her husband Michael D. Pixler, daughter Brittany Nicole Pixler, twin sister Cynthia Weide, brother-in-law Mark S. Weide, parents Esiquio and Gloria Trujillo, grandmother Mary Trujillo and numerous relatives. Visitation will be held from 5:00p.m.-9:00 p.m., Thursday March 22, 2007 at Sunset Funeral Home- West, with a Vigil at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday March 23, 2007 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Ft. Bliss Cementery where she will be laid to rest, services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home- West.
