Yolanda Kluge

Yolanda Kluge, a longtime resident of Chaparral, NM went to meet with her maker on Thursday October 15th, 2015. Yolanda was born to Jose De La Luz Chavez Pena and Victoria Arenivar de Chavez in Anahuac, Chihuahua. Both her parents preceded her in death. Her siblings Lupe, Rogelio, Diana, Nena, Teresa, Blas, Martin, Leonardo, Manuel, Anita, and Francisca, all survive her. She married Gerald H. Kluge in 1970, who preceeds her in death. An achievement Yolanda was most proud of was earned when she became a United States Citizen. As a result, Yolanda lead the way for several of her brothers and sisters to also have the privilege of gaining U.S. residency as well as citizenship. Being the eldest of the family, Yolanda would often care for and help family members whenever the need arose. Her pride and joy was working in her garden,or as she would refer to as "el jardin". She would often take visitors on a tour to show off the many roses, trees and flowers she took time to grow and care for. Yolanda was also known for sharing a great story over a cup of coffee. If it was summer time, she would share her stories over a cool glass of water or in her words "un vaso de agua con dos hielitos". She is survived by her four children Fernando Chavez and his wife Lucy, Victoria Villa-Garcia and her husband Chris, Gerald Kluge and his longtime partner Cecilia Gamez, Jose Kluge and his wife Audrey. Her grandchildren, Ariana Villa, Angie Lopez, Yolie Cano, Michelle Chavez, Amanda Kluge, Joey Kluge, Christopher Garcia, Jr. and Raeanne Kluge. Great grandchildren, Mario Fernandez, Alex Cano, Gerardo Reyna, Sophia Chavez, Luke Garcia, Jonathan Garcia , Bella Morales, Joel '"Xander" Lopez and Ximena Chavez. Funeral services have been entrusted to Sunset Funeral Homes of El Paso. Visitation will be held from 5pm to 9pm with a Scripture Service at 7pm on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Homes Northeast. Interment is Private. The family would like to express their thanks and gratitude to all those that knew and loved Yolanda.
