Yolie Arreola — loving wife, mother, sister, daughter, and nurse — has passed away at the age of 55. She will be best remembered for her tendency to laugh too loudly at bad jokes (usually her own), her love of ‘70s music (and ‘90s music that sounded like ‘70s music), and her tenacious, unrelenting spirit and fire. She also loved reading the obituaries, so hopefully this one makes her proud.
She is survived by her husband, Joe; her children, Melodie, Miguel, and Cristina; her parents, Bertha and Ruben; her brothers, Ruben, Eddie, and Richard; her dog, Buddy; and more friends and family than we could possibly count. We know she’s in heaven — finally at peace, dancing and singing along to Elton John, whipping up some of her famous chile con queso, and smiling down on all of us.
A Visitation will be held from 6:00pm-9:00pm with a Vigil at 7:00pm on Thursday, September 01, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home-West. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-West, 480 N. Resler Dr. Please visit our online register book at www.sunsetfuneralhomes.net
