Won Hui Homan

Won Hui Homan, much loved wife, mother, sister and grandma. Passed away peacefully on June. 20, 2012. She leaves behind to mourn her loss, her husband of 48 years, Donald Homan amd their six children, Sung Im, Okim, Johnny, Don Jr, Jimmy, and Billy and grandchildren Bon Mi, Bon Han, Bon Rak, Dong Hyak, Sang Hyak, Natallia, Nicholas, Joseph, Ariel, Amanda, Brandon, Daniel, James,Jaimmy, Dafne, Andre and Zuleika. Born in Seoul Korea on December 10, 1934 her early life was marked by many talents. She loved to cook and spend time with family. At the age of 20 she moved to the U.S. when she met and married Donald Homan and spent the rest of her life here. Won spent much of her cooking career at IGA Market in Alamagordo, NM, as a manager, and traveled extensively with her husband in their RV while living there. Won was deeply loved and a most wonderful wife and mother. Her cooking skills were legendary. She and her family then became residents of Chaparral NM, where she enjoyed an active community and social life. She was a member of the local community comittee of Chaparral and was also a strong leader of her family. By her wishes her remains will be spread between Chapparal where she lived and Korea where she was born and where her brothers and sisters, Won Mo, Won Kyung, Won Yang, Soon Duk, Soon J, are waiting for her return. In her honor there will be a Memorial Service from 5:00 to 9:00pm on Sunday, June 24, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass, you are warmly invited to join us in the event of continuing the celebration of Won's life.
