WJ McDuffee

W.J. McDuffee passed away peacefully on July 9, 2007 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 28, 1927 in Jessup, Arkansas to Bill and Leora McDuffee. He is survived by Clara Jean McDuffee, their three children Stephen, Regina, and John(Michelle), four grandchildren Philip(Tracy), Crystal, Tara, and Ian, three great-grandsons Anthony, Parker, and Ryan, and a great-granddaughter Sophia on the way. He is also survived by many friends and relatives in Arkansas and New Mexico. We love and miss you Pampa. After graduating from Arkansas College, he began a lifetime journey that took him from military service to business leadership. He started teaching in Arkansas, then New Mexico. Eventually this leads him to El Paso, Texas where through hard work and determination he became President and Chairman of the Board of Mutual Savings and Loan. From there he used his goodwill in such ways as El Paso Cancer Treatment Center, Crime Stoppers of El Paso, The Boys Club of El Paso, and a founding member of Coronado Baptist Church.
