Willie Neal Jacobs

Willie Neal Jacobs, 94, of El Paso, Texas, passed away Wednesday, June 16, 2010, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 1st, 1916, to the parents Benjamin and Ethel Jacobs of Greenville, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers; Benjamin and Glenn Jacobs, sister Dorothy Krause and his wife Mary Alicia Jacobs. He is survived by his five children; Mary Elizabeth Berger, Julia Marie Jacobs, Trisha Ann Blocher, William Joseph Jacobs, and Michael Joseph Jacobs. He also had nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Willie served in the United States Army during WWII where he met and married Mary Alicia McGrath during his service. After retiring from the military as a Chief Warrant Officer II, he was began work as a project manager at White Sands Missile Range. In his passed time, Willie was known as an avid golfer who could be found at Ft. Bliss’s Underwood golf course several days a week. Committal Service will be at 9:00 am, Friday, June 18, 2010 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast.
