William D. Wright

WILLIAM DOYLE WRIGHT MSgt. (Ret.) William Doyle Wright (Bill), 86, was called home on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 after a long and courageous battle with heart disease. Born in Uhrichsville, Ohio on March 19, 1929, he enlisted in the Air Force at the age of 16, and made a career in the military. He was a veteran of WWII and the Korean and Vietnam conflicts. He was a loving grandfather, great grandfather, father, husband, brother and son. Left to cherish his memory, are his sons, William David Wright (Rosie) of Wendover, NV, and CMSgt. Gary Wright (JoAnn) of Albuquerque, NM. He leaves his daughters, Margaret Masters of Sweeny, TX; Robin Wright of Sugarland, TX; Virginia “Vicky” Wright (Ernesto Hernandez) of Las Cruces, NM, and Mary Wright of El Paso, TX; sisters, Lena Powell of Webster, TX, Edna Hatcher (Ralph) of TN; brother, Ray Wright (Merle) also of TN, and his dear companion, Martha Roberts of El Paso, TX; 20 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren and countless nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 49 years, Maria Bertha Wright; son, CPO Robert Doyle Wright; grandson, Eric Michael Kluczynski; brother, Johnny Wright; and sisters, Thelma Lewis and Betty Stout. God looked down, he saw his tired son, and said, "Well done, my son, welcome home.” Pallbearers will be grandsons Mark Moore, Travis Moore, Brian Moore, Ronnie Edgar, Billy Wright and Joshua Wright. Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 9:00pm with a Vigil/Rosary at 7:00pm on Sunday, July 12, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home in Northeast El Paso, 4631 Hondo Pass, El Paso, TX 79904. Funeral Mass will begin at 1:30pm on Monday, July 13, 2015 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 9025 Diana Drive El Paso, TX 79904. Committal Service with Full Military Honors will follow at 2:30pm at Fort Bliss National Cemetery 5200 Fred Wilson Blvd Fort Bliss National Cemetery, TX 79906.
