William Earl Rogers

May 24, 1926 — February 19, 2009

Retired Army Sergeant First Class, William Earl Rogers, 82, of El Paso, TX, made his transition on February 19, 2009. His military career spanned over 30 years as a medic with tours in Korea, Viet Nam and Germany. Survived by: children - James C. Rogers of (El Paso, TX.), Albertina Pearson (El Paso, TX.), and Madera-E. Rogers-Henry (Denver, CO.), brother, J.B. Rogers (St. Louis, MO.) and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by Iva Mae and Rev. J.B. Rogers (mother and father), brother: Andrew Vernon Rogers, step-son: Otha Major and his faithful and loving wife: Lula Mae Rogers. Our family and friends have marveled at his forthrightness, his passion, his eternal optimism: and most of all, his ability to see the good in every one of us, despite being bedridden for the last 10 years. Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 24, 2009, from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Sunset Funeral Homes, located at 4631 Hondo Pass. Funeral Services will begin at 10:00 am on Wednesday, February 25, 2009, at Sunset Funeral Homes.
