William Henry Deering

October 11, 1928 — April 9, 2007

William H. Deering, 78, passed away April 9, 2007 at William Beaumont Army Medical Center. He was born October 11, 1928 in New York City. He is a WWII and Korean War Veteran who retired from the U.S. Army as a Senior NCO and also retired from Civil Service at Fort Bliss, Texas. He was a life member of VFW Post 8919 and a member of American Legion Post 58. For all who knew him, family and friends, he will remain forever in our hearts. He is survived by his daughter, Patricia Press; granddaughter, Nancy A. Press; grandson, William Lee McLaughlin; great grandson, Seth Olias Sage; cousin, Lenore; and extended family and numerous friends. Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm, Thursday, April 12, 2007 at Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast located at 4631 Hondo Pass. Graveside Services and Interment will be held at 10:30 am, Friday, April 13, 2007 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with Full Military Honors. Services are entrusted to Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast.
