William "Bob" Robert Cogdell

Bob was born at home in Paducah Texas. He was the second of four children of Mildred Stallings Cogdell and William Allen Cogdell. He had two sisters, Nancy Cogdell Bennett (teacher and principal) and Maxine Cogdell Fox (teacher). He had one brother Roger Cogdell (Engineer). He grew up working on the family farm before and after school. Because of his phenomenal memory, he did well in school. After high school he went to North Texas. Upon graduation he joined the Navy. He loved the Navy and made good friends who he visited and traveled with. On a trip to California he met and and later married Donna (Penny) Tucker. They had two children Karen Cogdell, and John Cogdell. Karen later married Chris Storie. Bob enjoyed working outside and gardening. He enjoyed doing crossword puzzles in INK. He worked as an assistant manager of a claim company. Then he worked for the State of Texas doing eligibility for seniors. He loved his family and he was a good husband, father and brother. Always he put his faith in God.

A Committal service with honors will be held on Friday, December 27, 2024 at 9:30 AM at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson  Ave. Fort Bliss, Texas. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-West.
