William Wesley (Bill) Berryhill at the young age of 80 years old, passed away on Friday, July 11, 2008. Bill was born in McAllen, Texas on April 10, 1928 and lived in El Paso, Texas for most of his life. Bill graduated from Austin High School in 1946 and attended Texas Western College. He worked for the Newspaper Printing Corp. (El Paso Times/ Herald Post) for 47 years and worked his way up to Advertising Director. He retired in 1993 and decided to continue working by joining the UTEP Athletic Department in advertising and promotions. In 2002, Bill joined El Paso Inc, and was Advertising Director for the publication Southwest Senior. Preceded in death were his parents, Ira Wesley and Nancy Berryhill, sister Judy Gimler and grandson Kenneth Jacob Berryhill. He is survived by his loving wife Sharon, three children William (Billy) Berryhill, Brad Berryhill, Brenda Berryhill-Davis and step daughter Courtney Marquez. Grandchildren Brandon Berryhill, Megan, Connor, Kyle and Miles Davis, step Grandchildren Sarah and Jenny Marquez.
Visitation will be held at Sunset Funeral Home-West on Monday, July 14 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Service to be held on Tuesday, July 15 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Marks Methodist church located at 5005 Love Road, with the Rev. Felicia Hopkins officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to your charity of choice in Bills memory.
