Weldon H. "Chip" Sutton

Weldon H. “Chip” Sutton, 1958-2012, passed peacefully at the age of 53, into the care of his Lord and Savior, Wednesday, August 29, 2012 following an extended illness. Chip was a graduate of Eastwood High School as well as The University of Texas at El Paso. Chip accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior and he was an active member of Immanuel Baptist Church and served in many capacities including within the Deacon Ministry. Old friends and beloved members of his church family testify to the strength of the bonds of friendship he maintained throughout his life and the depth of his commitment to the Lord. Pre-deceased by father Weldon H. Sutton, step-father Bernie Bracher and step-brother Larry Bracher. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 30 years, Virginia, his mother Phyllis Richardson, sister Vicki Berry and step-brothers Rudy and Steve Bracher. He is survived by his stepchildren Bryan, Joanna and Laura Beth. As well as his 11 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 6, 2012 at Immanuel Baptist Church, 1201 Hawkins Blvd. Services are entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home East.
