Warren Worth Woods

On October 24, 2020, Warren Worth Woods passed away peacefully at home in the loving care of his family. Warren was known as “Dad” to almost everyone he encountered. He was known as dad because of his warmth and loving personality. Warren was 90 years old. A long-time resident of El Paso, Texas, he was born on September 28, 1930 to Emrick and Helen Woods of Osceola, Iowa. When Warren was 15 years old when he joined the Army and fought in WWII and later both the Korean and Vietnam wars. He served 23 years retiring as an E6 Sergeant. He married the love of his life Betty Woods in 1950. Warren enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed going to Denny’s and the bank in the mornings. He was very fond of his doctors, nurses, and all medical staff that treated him. Warren is preceded in heaven by his parents Emrick and Helen Woods, wife Betty Woods, Son Michael Woods, and his 3 brothers and 5 sisters. He is survived by his children Lois and Nicho Ramos, Ricky Woods, Jimmy Woods, and Yolanda Casillas; Grandchildren Roy and Richard Woods; Great-Grandchildren Bianca, Ariel, Alexis and Bernadette Casillas; Saul, Justine, and Christopher Woods; Adaleigh, Richard, and Alisyn Woods; Great-great grandchildren: Lily, Frankie, and Rosalina Uribe; Avalene and Ezekiel Grajeda; and his dog Coonies. A celebration of life and prayer service will be held on Thursday November 19, 2020 at Sunset Funeral Home, 9521 North Loop El Paso, Tx 79907. Public visitation will be from 6:00- 7:00 pm with rosary commencing at 7:00 pm. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-Americas.
