In Loving Memory of Walter William Regan 1957-2025
Walter William Regan, 67, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on February 25th, 2025.
Walter was born on December 2, 1957, in Pierce County, Washington. He was one of six children, with three older brothers and two younger sisters. Growing up in a military household, the family moved often but eventually settled in El Paso, Texas. Walter graduated from Eastwood High School, where he played football, and later attended UTEP. He enjoyed fitness and played rugby during his college years alongside his older brothers. Walter often shared that his rugby days were some of his best times, filled with adventures and cherished memories.
Walter enjoyed a fulfilling career of over thirty years at Southwest Airlines, where he formed many lasting friendships and fond memories. He was once honored as Employee of the Year and eventually retired in 2020.
One of Walter's greatest joys was watching his grandchildren, Victoria and Marco, grow up. He supported them in all their school and sporting activities. Walter had a deep love for history and an impeccable memory. He was known for his old-fashioned gentlemanly demeanor, big heart, and good sense of humor. Walter always put others first and was there to help anyone in need.
Walter was preceded in death by his parents, Patricia and Hugh Regan, and his sister Bonnie. He is survived by his older brothers, Hugh, Paul, and Chris, his younger sister Susan, his daughter Ashlee, his son-in-law Marco, and his grandchildren Victoria and Marco.
Visitation services will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 12:00 to 4:00 pm at Sunset Funeral Home-Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass Drive.
