Virginia Vasquez

Virginia Vasquez, 80, passed away on January 22, 2011. Virginia was born in El Paso on May 22, 1930. She spent her early years in Cd. Juarez. She married her husband Jose Arnulfo Vasquez and moved to El Paso in 1967. Virginia became a widow in 1974, and proudly worked to support her children. She buried three of her sons along the way: Jose A., Jorge Luis, and Arnulfo (Robin). Virginia is survived by her sons; Julio S. and Edmundo and her daughters; Alma Rosa and Angelica Barraza. She also leaves behind her grandchildren: George, Arnulfo Jr., Julio C., Cristina, Alexandra, Danielle, Hugo, Ariel, Angel, Naomi, Julia, and Jacob; and great grandchildren: Dismas and Izabell. Virginia will also be greatly missed by her son-in-law Hugo Barraza and daughters-in-law Lupe and Mayra Vasquez and Lupe Mesa. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. -9:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m., on Monday, January 24, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home-East, 750 N. Carolina Dr. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home-East. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery at 12:45 p.m. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-East.
