Virginia Delgado Cottman, known as Kinny to family and friends, passed away on April 2, 2022. She lived a very full life and when she passed, she did so quietly at home just as she wanted. Those who loved Virginia would agree that she was bigger than words. She was born in Lordsburg, New Mexico but spent most of her life in El Paso, Texas. A graduate of Hotel Dieu, she served as a registered nurse for over 50 years, finishing her career as director of nursing at Always Caring Home Health Care. To her patients, she was kind and nurturing; to employees, she was driven, a natural born leader; to her family, a matriarch and strong woman with endless love and loyalty. Virginia is preceded in death by her sisters, Hope and Carmen, brother, Sixto, and daughter-in-law, Blanca Cottman. She is survived by her lifelong love and husband of sixty-five years, Ron Cottman, her sons, Michael, Ron Jr. (Liz), Patrick (Cathy), her grandchildren Amanda, Adrian, Clarissa (Michael), Vanessa (Harold), Raymond, and Alyssa (Justin), and her great grandchildren. Her legacy of love, hard work and loyalty will live on in her children, 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. We will be missing her every day until we see her again.
Funeral Mass will take place at 12:30 PM, on Friday, May 13, 2022 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Committal Service will follow at 2:00 PM, at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
