Violet Voneccia Edwards - Menzer

Violet Voneccia Edwards-Menzer was born in Atlanta, Texas to Jerry Leo Edwards Sr. and Rosie Lee Edwards on June 17, 1959. She was a very strong, kind hearted, beautiful lady who was a graduate of Irvin High School. She then went on to attend the University of Syracuse where she received her Associates Degree in Business and married Lynn Arther Menzer. Violet then went on to serve our country in the United States Army. She started basic at Ft. Jackson, SC. then served at Ft. Sam Houston (San Antonio) as well as Ansbach, Germany. She then went on to work for the Texas Workers Compensation Board. She was preceded in death by her father Jerry L. Edwards and Brother Cecil Jerome Edwards. She leaves one son Vernon L. Lawrence Edwards Jr.; mother, Rosie L. Edwards; brothers, Jerry L. Edwards Jr., Robert E., Neontru, and Jeffrey W. Edwards; sisters, Flora J. Edwards-Crawford, Rose M. Edwards-Stecher, and Audrey Edwards-Coleman; as well as a host of other family and friends. She will always be loved and remembered. Visitation will be held 6:00-9:00 pm, Monday, December 15, 2008 at Sunset Funeral Home-Northeast. Graveside Service will be at 10:00 am, Tuesday, December 16, 2008 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
