Vincent A. Norwood

Vincent Anthony Norwood was born in El Paso, Texas on June 16, 1957, the second of four children, born to Major Robert R. Norwood and Mary L. Norwood. His twin, Van and his father preceded him in death. The Lord called Vincent home November 17, 2008. A lifetime resident of El Paso, he was a graduate of Austin High School and received an Associates Degree in Human Resources from El Paso Community College and a Bachelors Degree in Social Services from the University of Texas at El Paso. He worked for the El Paso Community College as a security officer from 1996 until the time of his death. Vincent leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Mary Parquette, step-father, Elwood D. Payne, three brothers, Michael C. Norwood, Paul E. Norwood, and Nathaniel E. Rogers; three sisters, Melissa D. Norwood, Laura Norwood and Bridget Rogers Powell, one aunt and uncle, Ann and Berhone Tewelde, special friend, Brenda Willmarth and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at Sunset Funeral Home-Northeast with a Prayer Service at 7:00 pm. Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at Unity Missionary Baptist Church, 4601 Maxwell Avenue. Interment to follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
