Vilas (John) Webster, 70, El Paso, Texas, was carried home to rest with Jesus on December 31, 2011. John was born to Earl and Velda Webster on May 17, 1941 in rural Amherst, Wisconsin. He lived in El Paso for 35 years while serving 20 years within the U.S. Army and retired on June 1, 1984. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Earl and Velda Webster; his brother George and his sisters Ruby, Pearl, and Doris. He is survived by two brothers, Vern (Colette) and Warner (Diane) Webster; sister-in-laws, Wanda Webster and Brigitte Schlafer; his dearest niece, Charlotte Jochum (Joe); and his loving daughter, Danielle Webster. Charlotte and Danielle would like to acknowledge Josh Baker, John Ahearn, Jessy Guerrero, Ted Oven, and Hospice of El Paso for all of their love and tender care through the last steps of his journey. We love you Papi and you will remain in our hearts forever. Visitation will be held Sunday, January 8, 2012 from 5:00- 9:00 pm with a Funeral service to begin at 7:00 pm. A Committal Service will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, January 9, 2012 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Funeral Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home Northeast.
