Vida Lee Heckerman

Vida Lee Heckerman, 92, passed away Aug. 21, 2021 in her home with her husband of 75 years Donald R. Heckerman, and son Donald E. Heckerman, by her side. Vida was born April 29, 1929, in Weatherford, Oklahoma to Bernie and Mammi (Avritt) Hart. Vida was not only a devoted wife but also a devoted and loving mother of four boys. She loved nature and was a lifetime member of DAR. She enjoyed spending time with her children and traveling. Vida will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. Vida is survived by her Husband Donald R. Heckerman, her son Donald E. Heckerman, Her sister Sharon Anderson, three grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren and one due in October. Vida was predeceased by her parents, and her three sons Joe Heckerman, David Heckerman, and Robert Heckerman. Visitation for Mrs. Heckerman will be from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM, on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Homes- Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass.
