Victor M. Ortiz

Victor M. Ortiz, 42, of Austin, Texas, went to be with the Lord, after a courageous battle with cancer, on October 31, 2011. He was surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was born April 29, 1969, in El Paso, Texas, the son of Aniceto and Teresa Ortiz and one of 5 siblings.Victor will forever be remembered by his devoted brothers, Fred Ortiz (Cindy), Rick Ortiz, Cesar Ortiz, Christian Ortiz; treasured grandmother, Marcelina Portillo of Sunland Park, New Mexico; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends whom love him very much. Victor loved music, dancing, being with his family, and had a great sense of humor. He lived life to the fullest, gave much of himself to others, and set a wonderful example for all to follow. Friends and family are invited to attend a Memorial Visitation from 5:00-9:00 pm, Monday, November 7, 2011 with a Vigil/Rosary to begin at 7:00 pm at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast. A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at 10:00 am at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
