Victor L. Esparza

Victor L. Esparza, 91, of El Paso, Tx, passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2021 under foster care. He was born on December 11, 1930 to Librado and Maria de Jesus Esparza in Fort Hancock, Tx. He started working at an early age which led him to work for Sun Metro and retiring from Texas Department of Transportation. He married Concepcion Duran and had two daughters, Frances and Patricia. His greatest joy in life were his grandchildren. He attended every activity in elementary school from Christmas programs, grandparents’ day, walking Wednesdays, graduations, karate and the joy of walking his grandchildren home after school. Victor is survived by his daughters, Frances Esparza and Patricia Smelser (Scott), grandchildren, James and Samantha Smelser, and his sisters Betty Olivo and Lilia Esparza. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Concepcion Esparza, his parents, Librado and Maria de Jesus Esparza and brother, Leo Esparza, sisters, Gloria Avila, Amelia Dominguez, and Esperanza Galindo. Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm along with Vigil/Rosary at 6:00 pm at Sunset Funeral Home-East, 750 N. Carolina. Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, 8600 Winchester. Interment following Funeral Mass at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
