Veronica "Bunny" Triplett

Veronica Triplett, “Bunny”, was born in Colon, Republic of Panama on September 25, 1933. She was the eldest of four children born to the late Conrad A. Boyd Sr. and the late Enid Foderingham. She went to be with the LORD on September 6, 2009. Veronica grew up and was educated on the Canal Zone. She was united in holy matrimony to Henry M. Triplett, Sr. in 1955. Captain Triplett passed away in 1981. Four children were born to this union. She was predeceased by her daughter Marcia Gaye. Veronica journeyed with her husband to the United States where she became a naturalized citizen in New Kensington, Pennsylvania. She accompanied him throughout his career in the U.S. Army until his retirement in El Paso in 1972. Upon retiring in El Paso, Veronica went on to further her education receiving an Associate’s Degree from El Paso Community College in 1975. Veronica had a true joy for life and a robust spirit. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was an inspiration in the lives of others, always willing to help with an encouraging word and a positive attitude. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Conrad A. “Pucky” Boyd, Jr. and Stanley Boyd and her sister Dorothy “Shirley” Boyd. Celebrating her life are her son, Henry M. Triplett, Jr. and his wife Meryl, daughters Corine Triplett Barbour and Toni Michelle Triplett, granddaughter Courtney V. J. Barbour, her cousin Jean Edwards, her sisters Natalie and Carole Scarlett, her “adopted” son Samuel Stauffer, her very good friend Franz Jackson, and a host of relatives and friends. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 pm, Sunday, September 13, 2009 at Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, Monday, September 14, 2009 at Chapel #1 (Sage Hall), Ft. Bliss, TX with internment to follow at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery.
