Velia Hernandez

Velia “Guera” Hernandez, went on to eternal life to join her mother, Rosario Hernandez, father, Jesus Hernandez and, sister Martha Garcia, on October 19, 2011, after 62 years of being a loving sister, caring aunt, and friend to all. She is survived by her brother Thomas Hernandez, sisters, Ernestina Zubia, Yolanda Arellano, Dolores Hernandez, Sylvia Martinez, and long time boyfriend, Tury Padilla, along with many nieces and nephews. She will never be forgotten and will always be missed. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 23, 2011 with a vigil at 7:00 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home-East, 750 N. Carolina Dr. Funeral Mass will be at 12:00 noon on Monday, October 24, 2011 at San Antonio Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-East.
