Velia Alicia Casavantes Eveler, 73 years old, passed away on July 7, 2021 in El Paso, Texas where she was a lifelong resident. Velia was born on May 17, 1948 in El Paso, Texas to Mr. & Mrs. Carlos S. Casavantes Sr. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carlos S. Casavantes Sr. and Edelmira “Sister” Casavantes. She is survived by her husband, James W. Eveler and her 4 daughters: Jessica Ricci (Brian), Rachael Williams (Eric), Vanessa Eveler, Jamie Chance (Casey); 8 grandchildren: Reagan and Noah Ricci; Isaac, Anna and Justus Williams; Bayla, Wilson and Stella Chance; 7 siblings: Linda C. Licon, Daniel A. Casavantes (Maria del Carmen), Dr. Rene O. Casavantes (Luz Elena), Vita Casavantes-G., Fr. Carlos S. Casavantes Jr., Yvonne C. Lund (Robert) and Coquis Y. Casavantes. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Home-West at 6:00 p.m. followed by a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. with burial service immediately following at Evergreen Cemetery (4301 Alameda Ave., 79905).
