Valente Gomez "El Cubano"

Valente Gomez, 93, entered into eternal rest on April 25, 2022 in El Paso, Texas . He is preceded in death by his wife, Teresa O. Gomez, son, Miguel Oporto;  parents, Demetrio Gomez and Agripina A. Gomez. Valente is survived by his loving sons, Arturo Gomez, Salvador Oporto and  Jesus Oporto. Daughters, Graciela Garcia, Maria Cruz Velenzuela, Mickey Rodriguez, Consuelo Alonso and Gabriela Granados. Brothers, Roque Gomez, Manuel Gomez, Antonio Gomez and Genaro Gomez. Sisters, Maria Del Carmen Ramirez, Teresa Serna and Sabina Hernandez. Also leaving behind 21 grandchildren and 26 great granchildren to cherish his memory forever. A visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Rosary starting at 7:00 PM on Friday, April 29, 2022 at Sunset Funeral Home- Americas, 9521 North Loop Dr, El Paso, Texas 79907. A Mass will begin at 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at St's Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 673 Old Hueco Rd, El Paso, Texas 79927. A Graveside will follow at 11:30 AM at Mount Carmel Cemetery, 401 S Zaragoza Rd, El Paso, Texas 79907. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home- Americas.
