Todd Brewster, aged 58, was called home peacefully on Sunday, July 31, 2022 after living gracefully with cancer for four years. He didn’t lose to cancer. He finally broke-free from the bondage of the affliction. Todd is now back in the arms of our Creator, witnessing the glory of God and inheriting the promise of eternal life.
Todd was born on March 17, 1964 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He lived in Kentucky, Indiana, and Tennessee before settling in El Paso, TX with his family. He worked as a jeweler for 18 years in Kentucky- designing, cutting, and setting diamonds. He also worked as a part time realtor and started a private car detailing business in El Paso. His most noble profession was to take care of his three boys full time before they all went to school. Always staying positive in every situation, he found joy in taking trips with his family to White Sands, going swimming and playing sports with his boys, spending quality time outdoors, and watching basketball. He was an avid University of Kentucky basketball fan and an ardent viewer of the TV shows, "Jeopardy" and "The Price is Right." Todd loved country music. One of his passions is cars and working on them with diligence and pride. His wife and his three boys were his whole world. Todd and his wife, Ophelia, just celebrated their 14th wedding anniversary. He loved his soulmate like no other, as he would always affirm Ophelia saying, “No one could love you more than I do.”
Todd will be greatly missed and forever remembered by those who met him and came to know him. He touched hearts and gave hope and inspiration to many cancer patients at MD Anderson and at the Rotary House that heard of his incredible journey. Todd was a true warrior.
Todd is survived by his wife, Ophelia; his sons Jaden Renato, Scott Patrick, and Michael Robert. He is leaving behind his stepmom who loved him like her own, Sue Comisar; his brothers Terry Brewster, Timothy Brown; sisters Rebecca McDonough, and Sherry Owens; half-siblings Teresa, Linda, and Simon Comisar; and a wealth of friends who cared for him and his family.
