Thomas "Earl" Large. Born September 24, 1927 in Burlington, NC, and a forty-two year long resident of El Paso, Texas. Proud Veteran of the US Navy, licensed plumber, auto mechanic, member of the American Legion Post #58, and a member of the El Paso Moose Lodge chapter 2641. Earl was revered for his skilled craftsmanship and beloved personality. On August 23, 2010, while surrounded by his loved ones, Earl was welcomed into the arms of God. Preceded in death by his father and mother Thomas Jefferson and Emily Mozelle Large, and sons Thomas and Curtis Large. Survived by his loving wife of 38 years Barbara M. Large, whose unwavering devotion to her husband remained strong through both the unforgettable moments, and through the trials that life has presented. Also survived by his adoring children Earlene Groce (Bill), Deborah Crozier-Kiesel (Rick), Lawrence Crozier (Jeanne), Frank Crozier (Pam), Lisa Click (Dennis), and Sandra Crozier. Loving grandfather to Zak Kiesel (Marah), Amanda Groce-James (Wilson), Sara Kiesel-Fowler (Jason), Kaylie Crozier, Jacob Kiesel, Kyle Crozier, Ashley Crozier, Garrett Cooper, Hailey Cooper, Dakota Crozier and Colton Crozier. Treasured great-grandchildren Alyssa, Michael, Lucas, Chone, James, and Jaxon. Dearest Aunt Virginia Sykes, three sisters, all from North Carolina, many loving friends and relatives, and a special thank you to his friend and nurse Janie Zermenio. Visitation: 4:00- 9:00 pm, Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast. Funeral Service: 4:00 pm, Thursday, August 26, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home-Northeast.
