Thomas Franklin Enger, 56, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday May 29, 2010. Tom was one heck of a guy. Born on February 16, 1954, Tom was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, and friend to all. Tom was a proud Ysleta Indian and graduate of UTEP. An indomitable rebel and veteran of the U.S. Navy, he was a true salty dog. A spirited thespian and educator, he enthusiastically shared his vast knowledge. Truly, he lived and shared his life without reserve. Tom was a consummate gentleman and a real card. He is survived by his mother, Mary Jane and his siblings Robbie (Rudy) Loranc, Rick (Dolores), Fran (Tom) Mergen, Paul (Susan), Margaret (Brian)Trenchard-Smith . He was father to Paul Thomas, Marisha, and Alison. He is also survived by numerous loved cousins, nieces, nephews and lady friend Jo Vincent and Christine Ponsford (first wife and Paul Thomas’ mother). He is preceded in death by his father Richard, sister Kristen, and his beloved wife, Gayle. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2010, 1:00 PM at Abraham Chavez Theater. Friends and family will gather afterwards at Tom’s home. Burial will be at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery at 10AM, Monday, June 7, 2010.
