SFC Theodore P. Lopez, U.S. Army (Ret) 77, passed away on Monday, January 21, 2013. He was a long time resident of El Paso. U. S. Army Retired and a Vietnam War Veteran proud to serve our country and was proud to serve where his country called of him including, Germany and Korean Conflict. He also served as a member of the 62 nd U. S. Army Band. He had a way of sharing his love and affection to his wife, children and grandchildren and other extended family members. He had a passion for his animals, especially his 2 Pomeranians. He was very giving to those less fortunate. He will be missed by not only his family, but our extended family where he filled in as a father figure during their time of loss. He is survived by his wife: Bertha Lopez, sons; Theodore G. Lopez, Michael G. Lopez, daughters; Norma L. Lopez and Katherine G. Lopez, grandchildren; Luis Maldonado, Kristina M. Lopez, Karyn M. Lopez, and Kevin T. Lopez, great-grandchildren; Eva S. Maldonado, Travis J. Maldonado and Jayden A Navarro. Visitation will be from 4-9 pm with a Vigil at 7 pm on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at SunsetFuneral Home-East. Funeral Mass will be at 1 pm Thursday, January 24, 2013 at St. Raphael Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with full military honors.
