In Loving Memory of Terry Allen Harrison, 76, 02/01/1948 - 06/02/2024
With heavy hearts, we say goodbye to our beloved Terry Allen Harrison, who passed away peacefully on June, 2nd 2024. He was born on February 1st, 1948 in Kernersville, North Carolina. He was a husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many. He is survived by his wife, Jerri, his children, Hugh, and Emily, along with her husband, Jason, grandchildren Lexi and her husband Kameron, Aspen, and Brooke, and his great-grandsons, Peyton, and Corbin.
He graduated from Junction City High School and married his high school sweetheart, Jerri, in 1969. They were married for fifty-five years and had two children together. They taught their children, and grandchildren, the importance of quality character, respect, responsibility, and to be steadfast in their beliefs.
Terry was a man of integrity and honor, whose presence commanded respect and admiration. Throughout his life, he embraced challenges with courage and determination, never wavering in his commitment to those he loved.
A proud veteran, Terry proudly served in the United States Army and he retired as a Master Sergeant after twenty-three years. After the Army, Terry continued to work for Raytheon in a variety of countries. He spent a significant portion of his career working with the Patriot Missile Defense Systems.
In his retirement, he enjoyed a weekly dinner with his friends at Cattle Baron Restaurant, spending time in his office playing solitaire, and going to the shooting range. Terry is known affectionately as “Grumpy” by his granddaughters. His Granddaughters forced him to endure a lot of bad pizza, interrupted NASCAR watching, and shopping trips. He made up for this by tickling them and sitting on them if they took his spot on the couch.
Terry was a stubborn man who enjoyed his peace, quiet, and technology gadgets. To his dismay, his family's antics had him surrounded by chatty women, fantastic meals, and plenty of love. His family felt deeply loved by him and we will miss him dearly.
Terry's memorial services will be held at Fort Bliss National Cemetery on June 28th at 9:30am, where friends and family will gather to honor his memory and share stories of love and remembrance. A reception will follow at Cattle Baron’s restaurant at 11am.
