body At 3:36 PM 16th of December 2011, the Lord called for Bill and Patsy Andersons baby girl, Terri to come home and live in heaven. Terri was born June 21, 1957 in Tulsa, OK. She lived in El Paso and attended Irvin High School, after graduating, she went on and attended UTEP and became a member of the “first” Ladies Basket Ball team. After graduation, she went and taught in the YISD for 31 years, majority of that time was with her “2nd home” Ysleta Middle School. She taught PE and served as a volley ball, basketball, softball, track coach as also a wellness teacher. Her loving personality and her respect for her students will always be in the forefront of her memory. Terri was and will be always in the hearts of those who were touched by her during her lifetime. Her students, past and present, the staff, teachers, and students at YMS were always her biggest supporters and she was so grateful to have them as part of her life, but more importantly she was greatful and thankful they allowed her to be a part of their lives. Terri was honored by being named secondary teacher of the year for the YISD for the year 2003-2004. Ysleta Middle School honored her by dedicating the new gymnasium to her December 10, 2011. And it is called The Coach Anderson Gymnasium. Terri was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer March of 2010. Due to the care provided by Dr. I. Sanchez and her assistants, Valerie and Annette, we were able to enjoy her as long as we did. Terri’s love of life and her passion for the doing what she so much loved made her such a joy to know her. Coach “Coachie” Terri Anderson will live forever in our hearts.
