Sylvia Juarez

Sylvia Juarez, passed away on Monday, the 18th of January 2010 at her home in El Paso, Texas. She died at the age of 53, of cancer. She is survived by her son, Sam Riggs IV, her mother; Juanita Avila and her sisters; Yolanda Martinez, Mary Ann Ramos and Linda Sue Juarez. Sylvia was born November 21, 1956 in El Paso. She graduated from Bowie High School and went on to become a dedicated employee at Taylor Publishing Company for over 30 years. Her son, Sam, was the love of her life. Sylvia was a fun, loud, outspoken person. She loved sports, shopping, and road trips. Her presence was felt anytime she was near and she will surely be remembered forever more. During her difficult struggle with cancer, Sylvia was supported by many people. Her family never left her side. Special thanks go out to the oncology unit on the 4th floor at Sierra Medical Center. Visitation will be from 4-9 pm Thursday, January 21, 2010 with a Vigil at 7:30 pm at Sunset Funeral Home-East located at 750 N. Carolina Dr A Funeral Mass will be a held at 1 pm on Friday, January 22, 2010 at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Interment will be private. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-East.
