Susana Payides

Susana Payides, age 89, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 16, 2025. She was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend and will be dearly missed. Susana is preceded in death by her parents: Raymundo Andrade and Esperanza Sandoval, her son: Miguel Payides, and her brothers: Raymundo and Jaime Andrade. She is survived by her husband of 62 years: Yani Payides, her daughters: Ugui Payides Shamir (Gus) and Dolores Pacillas (Peter), her sister: Olga Torres, her grandchildren: Leila Shamir, Lexie Shamir, Nicole Pacillas, Elizabeth Pacillas, and Peter Michael Pacillas, as well as her great-grandchildren: Jayce Nolan Pacillas and Arlo Roe Pacillas. She is also survived by many extended family and friends to cherish and honor her memory. By those she was closest to, she was regarded as kind, gentle and loving. Even in her final moments, Susana cared for others’ wellbeing greatly over her own, and her legacy will live on.

A Visitation will be held from 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Sunday, February 2, 2025 at Sunset Funeral Homes-West with a Trisagion Service to commence at 6:00pm. Funeral Service will be held at 12:00pm on Monday, February 3, 2025 at St George Antiochian Orthodox Church, 120 N Festival Dr. A Graveside Service will follow at 1:30pm at Evergreen East Cemetery, 12400 Montana Ave.
