Sue Ann Billman Talbot. 8/30/38 – 7/27/2023
Sue Ann was born in El Paso, Texas August 30, 1938 to Caroline Baumgartner Billman and Fred Billman.
She attended El Paso schools and graduated from Ysleta High School in 1956. She received Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree from Texas Western (now UTEP). She pledged Chi Omega. In December 1961 she married Carleton Talbot at the First Christian Church of El Paso. They celebrated 61 years together.
She taught in El Paso public schools for 32 years mostly at Alta Vista Elementary.
Sue Ann loved to celebrate. She loved to decorate for every holiday and sent hundreds of handmade cards to friends and family. Her many students remember her as a compassionate, creative, and caring teacher. Sue Ann celebrated and cared for her friends and family. As well she loved and cared for her home in Canutillo, her dog, her trees and flowers, and her hummingbirds.
Sue Ann passed away on Thursday July 27, 2023. She leaves to celebrate her life, her husband Carleton of El Paso and her brother Dick Billman (Carol) of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. She will be missed by Carleton’s family Bob and Stephanie Talbot of Duncanville, Texas and Susan and John McIntyre of Grinnell, Iowa and her many cousins and nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, and her sister Caroline Billman Jeffries.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday, August 02, 2023 at University Presbyterian Church El Paso; 244 N. Resler, El Paso, Texas 79912.
