Sue Haggard passed away peacefully at Providence Hospital in El Paso Texas April 30, 2021.
Sue was born on October 12, 1932 in Pampa Texas, Sue met the first love of her life in Corpus Christi Texas the young man just out of the Army Henry Mussman, the father of her four children, but had many years of difficulty and sadness. In 1978 she met the second and still (coming up on 42 years) the love of her life Marvin Haggard. Sue was a faithful servant of God and never questioned God’s plan for her when she knew her days were numbered and often filled with pain. Sue, our matriarch, so loving, so generous, and selfless in all ways imaginable will be greatly missed. We will miss her laughter, her humor, and her great love of all games. May we cherish the wonderful memories and values she instilled in us all and carry her legacy.
Sue is survived by her husband Marvin, sons Richard, Alan, Wayne (deceased), Danny (deceased) Robbie and her daughters Janis, Judy, Evette, and Cathy. Sue was blessed on this earth with 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, her beloved sister, her dear friend and hair stylist, and her 1 little doggie.
Sue’s faith, family and friends are what carried her over the last 25 years as she battled with blindness and a myriad of ailments associated with aging. She deeply loved her all those around her and was always beside herself with joy when she got to have a luncheon with old friends or entertain family when they came into town. One of Sue’s greatest traits was her deep love and loyalty to all around her. She worked for Newman school for 25 years and still to this day remembered nearly every teacher or staff members name. It was the only job she was ever to hold in her 88 years but i’m not sure a more faithful and diligent person could have ever been found.
