Steven was first and foremost, a loving man that had the greatest sense of humor. He was a graduate of Parkland High School where he excelled in Wrestling and Football. He went on to attend UTEP and Sul Ross University where he graduated and received his degrees in both Psychology and Education. After completing his education, Steven taught and counseled at UTEP and El Paso Community College. His passion and hobby was racing and restoring muscle cars. Steven was a certified pilot and an avid advocate for animals. Most of all he loved his family. His family included three beautiful dogs that have already found loving homes. Steven is survived by his parents, Ken Penoyer and Janis Standish, his two brothers, Kenny and Chris Penoyer, and many Aunts , Uncles, and cousins. May his beautiful soul rest in peace. Visitation will take place from 4:00 - 8:00 PM with Funeral Service at 6:00 PM on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at Sunset Funeral Homes- Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass.
