TSgt. Stephen L. Marino Jr., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 surrounded by his family.
Stephen was born in East Deer, Pennsylvania on June 10, 1936. He proudly served in the United States Air Force for 20 years before earning his bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Southwestern Texas University. While stationed in Germany he met the love of his life, Karla Uhly, marrying in 1966.
Stephen spent 30 years with United States Customs and Border Protection as a Supervisor and retired in 2014 to care for his wife. He loved to care for his family and loved spending time on his daughter’s back porch watching the sunset in Marble Falls. He was a loving Husband and Father.
Stephen was preceded in death by his wife, Karla and parents, Stephen and Emma Marino. He leaves behind his daughters; Ute U. Marino and, Connie S. Marino-Willis, as well as his grandchildren; Amanda S. Marino-Kyle, Steven W. Buchynsky and, Justin R. Marino.
Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 PM, with Rosary at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at Sunset Funeral Homes- Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass. Scripture Service will take place at 12:00 PM on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at Sunset Funeral Homes- Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass. Committal Service will follow at 1:30 PM on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Please visit online registry at www.sunsetfuneralhomes.net.
