Stanley West Jr., died peacefully on Monday Oct. 24th, 2011, after a long battle with diabetes. Stan was born in Savannah, Georgia on February 20th, 1945 to parents Stanley West Sr. and Theresa Remion. He grew up in Potosi, Missouri and was the eldest of six children. Stan was an avid sports fan who played basketball, baseball and golf. He served honorably in the U. S. Marine Reserves and attended Memphis State University where he met his wife Carol. Stan was a long time resident of El Paso where he sold life insurance. He worked for several agents before he started SW Insurance Services. He is survived by his wife of 43 years Carol, daughter Shelley Solis and husband Ramiro Solis, daughter Katie West-O’Harrow and husband Shea O’Harrow, granddaughters Lexi and Sophia Solis and his grandson Teige O’Harrow. Please join us for a service celebrating his life on Sunday Oct. 30th from 5pm to 7pm at Sunset Funeral Home West with a Memorial Service at 6:00 pm.
