Soledad Torres Serrano

SOLEDAD TORRES SERRANO passed away on Friday, December 16, 2016 at the age of 89. Soledad was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, and her spirit and her strength will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband Gil R. Serrano and son John T. Lechuga. She is survived by her daughter Guadalupe Lechuga of Cupertino, CA; son Cruz Lechuga of San Jose, CA; and her brother Jess G. Torres of Mountain View, CA., along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family wishes to thank the following for exemplary assistance and support throughout the years: Francisca Castanon, Soledad’s caring caregiver of many years; Attorney Terry Hammond, for his tireless advocacy on behalf of Soledad; Dr Samuel Romero, Soledad’s long time primary care physician; the IMC team at Providence Hospital; and everyone at Hospice of El Paso for their wonderful and caring support through a most difficult process. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 19, 2016 from 5:00PM to 9:00PM, with Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home-West. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at 10:00AM at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 5750 Doniphan. Interment will be held at the Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery in Cupertino, CA. The family also sincerely thanks Chris Lujan and Sunset Funeral Home-West, 480 N. Resler Dr., to whom our loved one’s services were entrusted.
