Socorro V. Mendoza

SOCORRO V. MENDOZA Socorro has joined her husband-- her “Corazon”-- Gilberto Rosas Mendoza, who preceded her in death. She passed away on January 11, 2017 at home surrounded by her loved ones. One sister, Delfina Rodriquez, also preceded her in death. She is survived by her children: Gilberto Mendoza, Jr. (Nona) Lanexa, KS, Linda Tootle (Roy) Jacksonville, NC, Rosalba Harper (Ron) Porter, TX, Samuel Mendoza (Lupe) El Paso, TX; her sisters: Rosa Santillan Lindsay, CA, Maria Quiñonez of the home; her brother, Saturnino Valles; a special niece, Julia Chavez; special nephews: Cesar and Gilberto Quiñonez; 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be at Sunset Funeral Home, 750 N. Carolina from 4:00 to 9:00 pm and Rosary at 7:00 pm on Monday, January 16, 2017. Funeral Mass will be at St. Patrick’s Cathedral at 10:00 am on Tuesday, January 17, 2017. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
