Silveria T. Guillen

Silveria Tovar Guillen, 90, passed away, November 27, 2021. Silveria was born in Ojo de Agua de Los Montes, Tepezalá on January 5, 1931. She lived there until she married and then moved to Ciudad Juarez. After years there her and her family moved to El Paso, Texas where she lived until her passing. A humble woman with a heart of gold, Silveria loved unconditionally and was known as a sweet soul by everyone she met. She loved checking in on her family and friends with a phone call or visit. Silveria also loved feeding her loved ones. Some of her famous dishes included frijoles, gorditas and the food she would cook during the Lenten season. Her 4 sons were her life, along with her 14 grandchildren and countless great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Silveria is preceded in death by her parents Maria Luisa and Zacarías Tovar. Brothers Juan Tovar, Isaac Tovar and sister Maria Flores. Son Jose Alvaro Guillen and her husband Juan Guillen. She leaves behind her three sons, Adolfo Guillen (Maria), Juan Manuel Guillen(Virginia) and Jose Felix Guillen (Melissa). Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Rosary at 6:00 PM, Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Homes - East, 750 N. Carolina. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM. Friday, December 10, 2021 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, 408 S. Park. Interment will follow at 12:30 PM at Mount Carmel Cemetery, 401 S. Zaragoza.
