Sharon M. Darcy

Sharon Marie Darcy, age 80, of El Paso, TX passed away on Wednesday, January 04, 2023. Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, Wilfred M. Darcy and Lenna (Bubbles) M. Darcy, and her sister, Margaret (Peggy) A. Mann. She was the granddaughter of Albert W. Norcop and Lucia De La O Norcop, both of whom preceded her in death. She is survived by her brother, Mark W. Darcy and her niece, Jeanie M. Darcy. Also, she is survived by extended family and friends who will cherish and honor her memory.

Sharon was born on August 15, 1942, in El Paso, TX. She graduated high school from Loretto Academy and became a postulant in Daughters of Charity religious order for 5 years. Afterwards, she completed her Bachelor of Science and Master of Education Degrees at The University of Texas at El Paso. She taught at several elementary schools during her 20+ year tenor with El Paso ISD where she retired.

Sharon enjoyed volunteering as a Girl Scout Troop Leader to 4^th-6^th grade girls for 5 years, being an active member of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society in Texas and volunteering with Birth Right of El Paso, TX. She fueled her passion for volunteering and community service through continued charitable opportunities throughout her life.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 27, 2023, at 9:15AM, at Jesus & Mary Roman Catholic Chapel, 1401 W. Yandell Dr., El Paso, Texas 79902. An Entombment to follow at Evergreen Alameda.

Funeral arrangements are being made by Sunset Funeral Home -West, 480 Resler Dr., El Paso, TX 79912. If so inclined, flowers may be delivered to Sunset Funeral Home - West by January 26, 2023.
