SFC (Ret.) James Bert Stallard

SFC(retired) James B. Stallard Sr., 74, passed away Monday, March 30, 2009, after a lifetime of service to our nation. He served 23 years Honorably with the U.S. Marine Corps and the U.S. Army. Among his military citations were The National Defense Ribbon, Berlin Occupation Medal, and Army Commendation Medal. Upon retirement from the military, he resumed serving his country in the Civil Service. After a long hard fought battle with various health issues, he now rest peacefully. We are forever indebted for his sacrifices for our freedom. Mr. Stallard was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by is wife of 32 years, Jung, son, James Jr. and wife, daughters, Katherine, Sandi, Patricia, his mother and a brother. Survivors also include 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He will be greatly missed! Visitation will be from 9:00-11:10 am, Monday, April 6, 2009 at Sunset Funeral Home-Northeast (4631 Hondo Pass). Committal Service will be at 11:30 am, Monday, April 6, 2009 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Interment with be at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
