Severiana G. Trujillo

September 13, 1923 — January 13, 2012

Severiana Trujillo (Sylvia), 88, began her journey of life on earth September 13, 1923 in Saucillo, Chihuahua and passed on to the afterlife, surrounded by her loved ones, early Friday morning on January 13, 2012 in El Paso, TX. She will be remembered for her great smile, contagious laugh, genuine love of life and her incredible faith in God. No matter what adversities she faced in life, she was positive and knew somehow she would pull through and she did. This faith gave her such incredible strength all the way through her very last breath. It is how she stayed young and is the solid ground of our foundation. Her eyes lit up like that of a child at the sound of music, especially the Mariachis. Everyone who had the privilege of knowing her will remember her as a loving sister, mother, grandmother, great-nana, friend and a wonderful neighbor. Severiana is preceded in death by her beloved parents: José De La Luz Gonzales and Maria Cano De Gonzalez; ten brothers and sisters; son, Joe Trujillo, Jr.; daughter, Yolanda Alvarez; and grandson, Ric Alvarez.
