Saul Quentin Cepeda

October 31, 1926 — May 22, 2012

Saul Quentin Cepeda, Sr. 85, loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grand father, uncle, brother, father-in-law & friend, passed into the Lord's hands on Tuesday, May 22 2012 after a bout of cancer. Saul was born in Joliet, Illinois, October 31, 1926. His parents were from Durango and Zacatecas, Mexico. In his youth he was a Boy Scout and later a proud Veteran of 3 wars, WWII, Korea and Vietnam. He worked for many years in civil service at Fort Bliss and at Fermi Laboratory in Bativia, Illinois. He brought much joy and laughter to the world. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Bertha Alicia Duran Cepeda, and is survived by his 10 children, Armando, Arturo, Saul Jr., Raymond, Ruben, Theresa, Martha, Mario, David and Richard, as well as many grand-children, great-grand children, nephews, nieces, and sisters, Delia Neria and Cuca Navarro. May you rest in peace now dad and look after mom. We love you and will forever keep you in our hearts. Visitation will be Friday, May 25, 2012 from 4 -9 p.m. with a Rosary: 7 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home- Americas located at 9521 North loop Drive. Funeral Service will be Saturday, May 26, 2012 at 9 a.m. at Sunset Funeral Home- Americas. Interment to follow at 10 a.m. at Mount Carmel Cemetery with Military Honors.
