Sandra Adele Levine (Sandy) was born in St. Louis and raised in Kansas City, Missouri, then established “roots” in Texas. She followed her dreams to become a Nurse and Mother. Both roles were especially important and achieved at Oklahoma University.
Throughout Sandy’s life, she passionately cared for others, and demonstrated it with family, friends, as well as patients. This compassion stretched even further to animals. In addition to her nurturing nature, she also exhibited strength as a role model with a commitment to speak out against injustices.
All these wonderful traits defined her as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be greatly missed. A cemetery service to honor her 80 years of kindness will occur on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at B’nai Zion Cemetery. These are entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-West
Sandy is preceded in death by her beloved parents; Manuel Serkes and Frieda Garber. She is survived by her loving husband; Kenneth Levine, children; Debra Cohen, Kevin Levine, Karen Levine and brothers Myron Serkes, Richard Serkes. However, Sandy’s great legacy (besides her own accomplishments) were those of all four grandchildren: Michael Levine, Susan Levine, Shawna Levine, and Julian Cohen. May her name always be for a blessing.
