Salvador Villalobos passed away, Monday January 21, 2013. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, godfather, cousin, and friend. He lived his life with the Lord’s spirit of generosity, always helping others without expecting reward. Chava was the center of family, church and community life. He was the owner of Buena Vista Grocery. He is preceded in death by his mother, Francisca Villalobos. Chava is survived by his father Miguel Villalobos Sr; brothers: Mike Jr. (Nancy), Armando (Carmen), Jaime, Gerardo (Claudia), sisters: Mary Villalobos and Martha Carlos (Leopoldo); nephews: Michael, Thomas, and J.D. Villalobos, Paul and Albert Ochoa; nieces: Teresa Carlos and Vicky Villalobos; niece/goddaughter: Stefanie Carlos. He is also survived by godsons: J.R. Carrera, Freddy Soriano, and Abel Rivera. Albert Amparan (Yvonne), Ben and Joey Amparan, Terry Oberman (Greg), Sarah Oberman, along with a host of cousins and friends. Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 pm, Sunday, January 27, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home-West with a Vigil at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, January 28, 2013 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Memory Gardens of the Valley Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are: J.R. and Eddie Carrera, Michael and Thomas Villalobos, Ben and Joey Amparan. Honorary: Nick Carrera and J.D. Villalobos. He will be greatly missed and will be remembered always, as a good example of a good man that touched many people's lives.
