Salvador Diaz Sr. (Chavy) beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, brother-in-law & uncle passed away January 6, 2008 at the age of 68. Preceded in death by his parents Jesus & Bernabe Diaz. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Vilma C. Diaz (Little Pumpkin); Daughters: Cynthia Diaz De La Cruz (Joey) and Michelle Diaz (Hiram); Sons: Salvador Diaz Jr. (Sandy), Michael Diaz (Michele) & Damian Diaz (Norma); Twelve Grandchildren & Three Great Grandchildren; Sister: Estela Mendoza (Peter); Several nephews, nieces, brother-in-laws & sisters-in-laws. Top Diaz proudly served over 36 years in the United States Marine Corps. He retired as a MstGySgt. In his beloved Corps. He was also a member of the 19th Rifle Company. “ Babe- My blue eyed Howard The Duck” Love like ours will never end as your journey leads you to the house of the Lord, wait for me- till I see you again. Your Little Pumpkin Visitation will be from 4-9 pm on Sunday, January 13, 2008 with a Vigil at 6 pm at Sunset Funeral Home-Americas; located at 9521 N. Loop. Funeral Mass will be at 9 am on Monday, January 14, 2008 at St. Francis Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church; located at 12200 Vista Del Sol. Interment will be at 10:30 am Monday, January 14, 2008 at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery. Sons & Grandsons will be serving as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be son-in-laws & brother-in-laws. The family would like to thank all doctors & nursing staff at Las Palmas 5th floor south. A Special thank you to doctors S. Ahmad, Ho & Landeros.
