Sadako Welch

Sadako Welch, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, July 3, 2009. “Susie” was born in Kyoto, Japan on January 23, 1932. She came to America at the age of 25 years old and became an American citizen at the age of 36 years old. She became a resident of El Paso, Texas in 2001. She is survived by her long time friend Russell “Rusty” Florence; her son, Daniel Sanders and wife Valerie; her daughter Vonda Griffith; four grandchildren, Shelly, Shaun, Alicia and Kristen; and five great granddaughters, Taylor, Tiana, Alyssa, Loreli and Jaxon; and 1 brother and 2 sisters in Japan. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 6 pm on Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at Sunset Funeral Home-Northeast. Interment at Middlecreek Joint Cemetery in Paulding, Ohio.
